ConnexGO: Help is Only an App Away
Have you ever wondered what mental health services are available to you? Maybe you were trying to help a friend with depression, and didn’t know where they could go for help. That’s where ConnexGO comes in! ConnexGO is an app that helps you find mental health and addiction programs and resources in Ontario, all from your smartphone.
It’s available for free in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, and provides access to thousands of mental health, substance use, and problem gambling programs across Ontario. You can search the directory for services, or connect live with a System Navigation Specialist who can help you find help 24/7. System Navigation Specialists are available by phone, email, and web chat, all right from the app. There’s even an FAQ section with common questions and answers like “What are warning signs of suicide?”, or “What is peer support?”.
Best of all, it’s free! The app, as well as the vast majority of the programs and services listed in the app are available at no cost to residents of Ontario. ConnexOntario, the developers of ConnexGO, are an agency of the Ontario Ministry of Health, and the programs that it lists are all from government-funded organizations. Even phoning or chatting with the System Navigation Specialists is free! So what are you waiting for? Find it on your app store today!
